Help us protect the future of women’s health heritage
The RCOG Heritage Collections provide a permanent home for the personal papers and artefacts of obstetricians and gynaecologists in addition to the records of the College itself. These donated collections range from case registers, notebooks, and diaries to obstetric kits, medals and rare books on the specialty. These provide an incredible and unique insight into the role of obstetric and gynaecological specialists in improving women’s health care across the globe.
We regularly receive donations of collections from members of the public, including retired practitioners, their families and the general public. Our Archive, Museum and Library permanently houses, cares for and exhibits these collections, making them available to researchers and the general public.
All donations are subject to review by Heritage staff and are assessed according to our service’s Collections Development Policy.
